Unlike other bigwig collectors in town who smack you with a cover charge to get a gander at their goods, Marty Margulies is making nice with the public and seems to be a fellow after our hearts. The art mogul has switched out the exhibit at his sprawling 45,000-square-foot warehouse in Wynwood, unveiling -- free of charge -- a fresh trove of photography, sculpture, and installations from his cherry collection. Newly installed exhibits at The Margulies Warehouse will feature works by Zilvinas Kempinas, Hiraki Sawa, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, John Szarkowski, Hank Willis Thomas, Leo Villareal, Paolo Ventura, Gregory Crewdson, Alfredo Jaar, Heidi Specker, and Thomas Ruff, among others.

One of the funkier displays includes Olafur Eliasson’s Inverted Mirror Sphere, a massive swag lamp or disco ball-like sculpture illuminating the space with a Saturday Night Fever vibe. “Our mission is to operate as a thought-provoking educational facility to further the interest and understanding of contemporary art forms,” says curator Katherine Hinds.
